We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them...

Isn’t it scary how time flies by so fast, both in sadness and when...
– Me, about time on earth. On Twitter. Sometimes, you just have to ask the world “Why?!”, “Why so fast?!”, “Why so seemingly useless?”. You come here, you have nothing. You have no watch, or a t-shirt. You work hard while trying to be a good person. You buy a watch,...

All in the family
Me: *looking at the pictures over facebook* So, this is your other side of the family?
Cousin: *sighs heavily* Unfortunately.
There’s a reason we refer to “leaps of faith” - because the...
– Elizabeth Gilbert.
I need to remind myself this because when I plunge face first into depression, I become an incoherent, frightened, melancholic blob. Grief & metaphysical paranoia comes to me at the best times: whenever I’m alone or in the wee hours of the morning. I have the most awful...

Moleskine
One fine night, I got mighty bored. I put down the book I was reading and realized my fingers were itching for a little bit of art, nothing too drastic but nothing not less creative. To soothe my itchy fingers, I decided decorate my planner the old way—stick, cut, paste and doodle! I got a little bit of emotional cheese inked in too! Haha! It was a great night. I love Moleskine. :)
Cafe Noriter
Passed our revised thesis last December 16 and since I have no plans of drinking any time soon, I didn’t join the girls in their Sherwood alcohol spree. I did get them to go to Cafe Noriter after I submitted the new copy of our research though! It was a thesis submitted in a very Ghost Whisperer-esque manner. I swear to Jesus Christ and all his angels, the locked 6th floor door opened on its...

It's a Clan bake!
Papa’s ninth & third day and cute cousins I love to abuse.
We’ve had get-togethers after Papa’s demise. One on his third day and a bigger one for this ninth day. So this December is really loss, eating, sadness, eating, grief, eating, happiness, eating, eating, eating. Much like our lives, really. We bond through food. Anyway, on his third and ninth day, we made it a point...

Nine and Ten
December nine and ten. We cremated my dad last December 09, a day after my birthday. December 10, I went ahead and defended our thesis proposal. I’m not a very emotional person anyway, so my tears were limited to whenever I’m alone. I am like him that way. The most touching but heartbreaking part though was when my sister started whispering “I love you” to him before we...

Turning Nineteen
I turned nineteen last December 08, 2009. Of course I looked like crap, it being the last day of my father’s wake. I felt super bad too, but like any trooper, I decided to make the most of my day. Little did I know my friends planned to be there for me too! :) Yay! More photos after the cut!
(Making the most of my free time—posting backlogs. I treat tumblr like a blog, if you still...
